To begin Matched Betting you will need to open an account at Betfair or Betdaq. One or both of these exchanges are essential to profit from free bets. The difference between an exchange and a bookmaker is that in an exchange you can bet AGAINST an event happening. This is called Laying and in effect means you become the bookie and are looking for someone to accept your lay by backing the opposite outcome.
This probably sounds complicated but in fact is quite easy to understand once you have looked at the exchanges and followed a few simple steps. There are tutorials at Betfair which explain clearly how to back and lay your bets.
